BA-50 is a cement based, dry powder material to be used as an adhesive and/or base coat for synthetic stucco systems. Polymer-modified for superior adhesion.
Using an electric mixer with a clean paddle, mix BA-50 with potable water until desired consistency.
(As an adhesive) Surface must be dry, clean and free of frost and other contaminants. Ensure masonry surfaces are free of damage and loose debris. Apply BA-50 to the insulation board using a notched trowel creating uniform parallel ribbons perpendicular to the insulation board. Immediately install the board horizontally (ensuring the adhesive ribbons remain vertical) and apply firm pressure uniformly throughout. Let cure for 24 hours, avoid any movement to the board.
(As a base coat) Apply using trowel (or approved pumping system) to an approximate thickness of 1/8" (3mm). Immediately embed fiberglass mesh, working from the center of the mesh to its edges. Avoid wrinkles and trowel marks for optimal results. Let cure for 24 hours before applying finish.
